DOING IT ALL. Gian Mamuyac and his endless hustle are in Ateneo to stay.

Kiefer Ravena and Von Pessumal have left Ateneo de Manila University and have left nothing but huge voids to fill.

Fortunately for Katipunan, they have someone right on campus who can do just about anything and everything well.

Gian Mamuyac, do-it-all performer for the Blue Eaglets, is in Katipunan to stay. “Committed na ako sa Ateneo,” he told ABS-CBN Sports.

Ateneo High’s number two in points, rebounds, and assists is usually found all over the court, doing his all to help his team win. His per game counts of 10.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists is far from eye-popping, but the fact that he practically has no holes in his game makes him the perfect glue guy for any team.

However, standing at 5-foot 11-inches and weighing at only 145 lbs, the wiry thin player – who plays small forward for the undersized Blue Eaglets – needs to add on a lot more muscle to be able to bring over the same impact in the collegiate level. He knows as much as he said, “Kitang-kita naman kung ano pa kelangan. Pero talagang ii-improve ko yun.”

The Ateneo product will join former Rookie of the Year Arvin Tolentino, transferee CJ Perez, and young studs Matt Nieto and Adrian Wong on the first Blue Eagle squad in a while without Kiefer Ravena and Von Pessumal. Partner-in-crime Jolo Mendoza will also be still alongside him then.
