De La Salle hopes to put a stop on its five-game losing slump.
The University of Sto. Tomas clashes with De La Salle University in a battle of skidding teams on Wednesday at the end of the 78th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament first round of eliminations at The Arena in San Juan.
Opening serve is slated at 8:00 a.m.
Both UST and DLSU share 1-5 win-loss records at sixth spot.
The Tigers, a team struggling in form after the departure of last season’s scoring champion Mark Gil Alfafara, are on a three-game losing slump including a 12-25, 25-18, 21-25, 22-25, setback against the streaking Adamson Falcons last Saturday.
DLSU, on the other hand, won its opening day assignment versus the listless University of the East but dropped all of its next five assignments.
The Green Spikers fell victim to the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-19, last Sunday.
