DLSU seeks stay on point while FEU tries to bounce back
De La Salle looks to stay on top, while FEU looks to bounce back in UAAP Seaosn 78 Football action

Matches on Thursday (Moro Lorenzo Field)

1:00 PM – DLSU vs. Adamson (Men’s)

3:00 PM – FEU vs. UE (Men’s)

Last season’s UAAP Men’s Football finalists have gone very different paths this year, but both are looking to pick up wins on Thursday afternoon at the Moro Lorenzo Field in Ateneo as runners-up De La Salle University look to strengthen their grip on the top spot when they go up against Adamson University, while defending champions Far Easter University try to bounce back from consecutive losses when they take on last placers University of the East.

Currently at the top of the UAAP Men’s Football mountain with four wins and one draw, the DLSU Green Archers are on track for yet another final four appearance. Gio Diamante and Greggy Yang have been the top gunners for the Archers, but a handful of rookies have also stepped up big this season. Fresh off a 1-0 over UE, they look to keep going strong when they take on the Adamson Falcons.

Unable to capitalize on the momentum of their first win since returning to UAAP Football the Adamson Falcons will have to shake off their 1-0 loss to UP and look to get back on track pull off a massive upset against the season’s top seed.

Currently on the outside, looking in at the Final Four picture, the defending champions appear to have lost their mojo as of late. With their lone win of the season coming against Ateneo earlier in the season, they’ve gone on to draw their next two, and then drop their last two outings against DLSU and UST. They’ll have a chance to get back into winning form however when they meet the UE Red Warriors.

Yet to score their first win of the season, the UE Red Warriors could have a golden opportunity to pull off an upset as well and capitalize on the defending champions’ current struggles. UE has dropped their last three outings, against UP, Adamson, and DLSU after holding surprise second-seeded UST to a scoreless draw.
