DLSU dismantles Adamson behind Yang's hat trick
Greggy Yang scored a huge hat trick to power DLSU past Adamson

Greggy Yang scored a brace early, and then found the back of the net once more as his hat trick helped De La Salle University dismantle Adamson, 6-0, Thursday afternoon at the Moro Lorenzo Football Field in Ateneo.

It didn’t take long for Yang to get things going for DLSU, converting on a free kick just six minutes into the match. Ten minutes later, yang struck again, doubling up on his scoring total and the Green Archers lead.

The Green Archers, who dominated possession of the ball from start to finish, showed no signs of slowing down as rookie Jed Diamante also got in on the scoring mix, converting at the 19th minute for a three-nil advantage heading into halftime.

Yang wasn’t through however, as he converted once more for the Taft-based booters to complete the hat trick and push the lead up to 4-0.

The Adamson Falcons got a couple of shots off in the second half, but still couldn’t prevent the Archers from scoring, as Gelo Diamante also scored a goal of his own in the 67th minute.

The final blow came from Yoshi Koizumi, who converted in the 74th minute to push the DLSU lead to a commanding 6-0.

Adamson’s Bless Brian Jumo I had one more shot to pull one back, couldn’t capitalize, and the score stood in favor of the Green Archers.

“It feels really good, but it comes from the hunger to keep winning, because after last year, we’ve had enough of the losing.” Yang told ABS-CBN Sports post match.

“With my new position, scoring is one of the things I can do to help the team, so for those results to be coming my way, it feels really good.” Yang added.

The Green Archers are seated comfortably at the top of the UAAP Football rankings with five wins and one draw for 16 points in six games played. When asked about their impressive start, Yang, now the league’s leading scorer, credits the team’s humility.

“Every game we talk, we talk after the game and we say okay, we celebrate for one night, but then tomorrow, we look towards the next game”.

Adamson on the other hand, remains at seventh place with one win and five losses for three points.
