Falcons seek revenge, stake 6-game winning romp
Revenge is in the eye of Adamson Univesity against National University.

Red-hot Adamson University is looking to keep its momentum going for a share of the lead on Sunday in a rematch with reeling National University in the 78th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament second round at The Arena in San Juan.

The Falcons started the season with a straight sets beating at the hands of the Bulldogs before ending the first round with a six-game winning run, making the 10:00 a.m. game a grudge match for Adamson.

The match will air live on ABS-CBN Sports+Action HD Channel 166 and via livestream at sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap.

Behind the explosive games of Dave Pletado, Michael Sudaria, Jerome Sarmiento, and Bryan Saraza, Adamson defeated University of Sto. Tomas, 25-12, 18-25, 25-21, 25-22, last week to end the first round.

While the Falcons are soaring high to occupy the solo second spot behind the defending champion Ateneo de Manila (7-1), the Bulldogs are down with a two-game losing skid.

NU suffered a 19-25, 25-22, 24-26, 20-25 loss last Wednesday against Far Eastern University at the end of the first round.

Kim Malabunga, Madzlan Gampong, Vince Mangulabnan, James Natividad and Bryan Bagunas need to get their acts together to rebound and improve their 4-3 record.

NU easily defeated Adamson, 25-22, 25-22, 25-7, in their first meeting.
