--- Myla Pablo, as she hopes to lead National University back from its mid-season slump.
While their record indicates that the team is back to square one in the UAAP Season 78 women's volleyball tournament, all is well for now at National University.
And after finally snapping their horror three-game losing skid that included two straight-set defeats, team captain Myla Pablo is ready to lead the Lady Bulldogs in the second round with a little more bite than bark.
"Maglalaro ako ng maayos para sa school namin," she added after playing her best game in quite some time, leading the Lady Bulldogs on offense with 14 points, 10 on attacks and three aces.
For good measure, Pablo also had one kill block, 10 excellent digs and nine successful receptions.
Despite falling into the middle of the pack after a hot start to the season, the Lady Bulldogs are just happy to recover.
And big part to NU's chances of regaining its early-season form is the team coming together inside the court.
"Ang sabi namin mali ng isa, mali ng lahat," Pablo said as NU is tied with FEU and UST at 4-4 for the 4th-6th spots.
Of course, those three games that were lost in heartbreaking fashion hurt because it robbed the Lady Bulldogs of the chance to be mixing it up at the top of the standings.
Fortunately for NU, recent developments mean that the Lady Bulldogs are only two games back from first place and only a full game behind the UP Lady Maroons.
With games against Ateneo, La Salle and UP still on NU's schedule, the Lady Bulldogs can make up some ground real quick.
A little more bite than bark can do the trick.
