The Tigers score their third win in a row while handing the Falcons back-to-back defeats.
University of Santo Tomas completed the day of upsets in the UAAP Season 78 men's volleyball tournament while adding to Adamson's woes at the same time.
The Tiger Spikers roared to a convincing 26-24, 25-23, 25-23 victory over the Soaring Falcons in their second round matchup at the San Juan Arena Saturday.
UST avenged its first round loss to the Falcons as the Tigers continue their roll with a third straight victory.
After a six-game rampage to end round one, Adamson dropped its second game in a row.
The Tigers lost an 11-point lead before holding on to win the second set 25-33 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in a battle of Final Four contenders from last season.
Manuel Medina led UST with 15 points while Jason Sarabia added 13 for the streaking Tigers.
UST tied the University of the Philippines with identical 4-5 records.
Adamson (6-3) was led by Michae Sudaria with 12.
Head coach Domingo Custodio will return to action on an interim basis to guide the Lady Falcons against the Lady Maroons in the women's division.
