For coach Sherwin.
Team captain Mylene Paat turned emotional in the middle of her post-game interview after Adamson suffered another loss in the UAAP Season 78.
It was a particularly tough week for the Lady Falcons, as they had to say goodbye to head coach Sherwin Meneses, who resigned from the team.
His players however, fully respect and support his decision, no matter how hard it was to deal with especially in the middle of a trying season.
"Okay naman, kaso mahirap talaga tanggapin na wala na si coach eh. Pero magiging okay din naman ang lahat, naniniwala naman ako," Paat said fighting back tears.
She added that Meneses talked to the team just before he submitted his resignation later and while the Lady Falcons tried to make their coach stay, they ultimately respected his decision to leave.
Even without Meneses, the Lady Falcons still have a season to finish and the team is looking to pull themselves together.
"Sobrang emotional pa din kaming lahat tapos medyo hindi pa kami maka-move on dun sa nangyari pero ang sinasabi samin kailangan muna i-set aside at tapusin namin itong season ng maganda," top spiker Jessica Galanza said.
"Pero hindi naman maiiwasan na maging malungkot kami lagi so yun lang, basta focus lang kami sa laro," she added.
For their game against the UP Lady Maroons, the Lady Falcons had matching patches on their left arms to show their respect to Meneses.
An idea by Erika Alkuino, the Lady Falcons had star patches with "S" in the middle for "Sherwin."
The decision stunned the team for sure, but there are no hard feelings on the side of the team.
"Hindi naman daw niya kami iiwan, nandiyan lang din siya lagi pero hindi lang siya pupunta lagi sa training tsaka sa laro," Galanza said.
"Kami magsasama ng loob kay coach? Wala, walang sama ng loob kasi ayun nga masaya si coach doon, masaya na din kami para sa kanya," Paat added.
