La Salle did not want to practice after the game so the Lady Spikers went ahead and dominated UST with time to spare.

Right after their first round match against UST, La Salle head coach Ramil De Jesus had the Lady Spikers do another round of training.

That time, the Tigresses scored a blowout victory over a La Salle squad that just broke Ateneo's 24-game winning streak in their previous outing.

Kim Dy and the rest of the Lady Spikers wanted to enjoy the rest of their Saturday so they went ahead and returned the favor to UST when round 2 took place.

"Right after pinabalik kami sa school," Dy said referring to their first encouter with UST. "Naging motivation ko talaga yun yung 'ayoko na magtraining after ng game na to' as in tapos dun lang lumabas yung willingness to win talaga."

When the dust settled after a playoff-like matchup at the San Juan Arena, the Lady Spikers got their revenge via a 25-11, 25-13, 25-17 win with time to spare.

And Dy finished with a game-high 12 points in the dominant sweep, becoming the latest Lady Spiker to lead the team in scoring.

One of the best team players in what is really looking like the ultimate team in Season 78, Dy has been rounding into form lately ever since she got her break this year during the Ateneo game.

"It's okay na hindi nagagamit, nananalo naman. Kinausap din ako ni coach eg ge said na parang 'just wait for your time' so ayun naghintay lang naman ako hanggang sa Ateneo game," Dy said.

Well Dy is on the floor lately and the Lady Spikers stay winning, largely because she added another layer to La Salle's arsenal that already features Ara Galang, Mika Reyes, Majoy Baron and orchestrated by Kim Fajardo.

Playing three volleyball positions since high school, Dy has been comfortable and effective in her latest gig, serving as the opposite hitter for the Lady Spikers.

"I started liking it parang ang ganda pala mag-utility," she said. "Kung saan ako ilagay ni coach okay lang, pero utility for now doon na ako naging comfortable maglaro. Kasi iba din yun timing, mas mataas yung bola tapos sa quick kailangan pasok agad so yun."

"Siguro mas relaxing sa utility kasi sa gitna parang nagmamadali ka."
