Adamson University returned to the win column in a four-set mastery over Far Eastern University.
Adamson University returned to its winning ways Wednesday as the Falcons bucked a slow start to take down the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, 14-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-19, and occupied the second spot in the 78th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
The Falcons arrested a two-game slump to collect their first win in the second round and improve to 7-3 win-loss record behind league-leading defending champion Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles (9-1).
Jerome Sarmiento hammered 12 attacks in his 15 points while Michael Sudaria and Dave Pletado had 12 and 10 markers, respectively, for Adamson, which duplicated its first round victory over FEU also in four sets.
Karlle Nico Ramirez dished out 41 perfect sets and scored six for the Falcons, which received 37 free point off the Tams errors.
FEU absorbed its third straight loss in the second round for a 5-5 card tied with University of the Philippines at fourth to fifth spot.
Jude Garcia had 13 points while Jeric Gacutan and skipper Joshua Barrica finished with 11 apiece for the Morayta-based squad.
