JUST LIKE THIS, BUT IN GREEN. Justine Baltazar will now be clad in green and white after he just downed DLSZ for the crown.
Clearly, De La Salle University is not yet done improving its team as they gear up to reclaim lost glory.
Already with Mythical selection Jeron Teng, Rookie of the Year Andrei Caracut, NCAA champion coach Aldin Ayo, UAAP Juniors MVP Aljun Melecio, NCAA standout Ricci Rivero, and hulking import Ben Mbala, the Green Archers still went out and got for themselves Justine Baltazar.
“Sa La Salle na po ako,” the six-foot seven-inch tower told ABS-CBN Sports.
Asked to confirm the development, Green Archers mentor Aldin Ayo responded, “Opo, totoo po yan.”
The incumbent captain of Nazareth School of National University, Baltazar led his team to a 16-1 record and a dominance-reinforcing third title in the last five years. He also led the league in rebounds (13.5/per game) and blocks (2.5/game) while also contributing 13.4 points per game.
The Finals MVP now joins a DLSU side hoping to move forward from missing the playoffs last season.
