De La Salle stakes its three-game winning run against Adamson.
Surging De La Salle University hopes to keep its momentum going and boost its chances of making it to the Final Four when the Green Spikers clash with the Adamson Falcons Saturday in the 78th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
Unbeaten in three outing in the second round, the Taft-based squad is looking to avenge its first round loss to the Falcons in their scheduled 8:00 a.m. encounter.
Skipper Raymark Woo was unstoppable last Wednesday as he led the Green Spikers past a pesky University of Sto. Tomas side with a career-high 33 points in a tight 20-25, 25-12, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11 decision.
DLSU tied its last victim at sixth to seventh spot with 4-6 win-loss slate.
The Falcons are currently in second spot behind league-leading defending champion Ateneo de Manila (9-1) with seven wins in 10 games.
Adamson is coming off a 14-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-19, win over Far Eastern University last Wednesday to break a two-game slump and is looking to make an elims sweep against the Green Spikers.
The Falcons defeated DLSU in four sets, 25-9, 24-26, 32-30, 27-25, last February 21.
