Lady Maroons seek repeat over UE
All eyes are set on rookie Isa Molde as University of the Philippines takes on University of the East.

University of the Philippines is looking to keep its tight hold of the third spot and stay on the right course for a spot in the Final Four in the 78th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

Coming off a setback that snapped their four-game winning streak, the rookie-laden Lady Maroons face the winless University of the East Lady Warriors in the 2:00 p.m. joust Sunday for a chance to get back on the winning track.

The game will air live over ABS-CBN Sports+Action Channel 23, ABS-CBN Sports+Action HD Channel 166 and via livestream on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap.

UP sits at third spot with a 6-4 win-loss record behind league-leading two-time defending champion Ateneoo De Manila and De La Salle, which handed the Lady Maroons a 25-18, 12-25, 18-25, 21-25, defeat last Wednesday.

Rookies Diana Carlos, Justine Dorog and Isa Molde together with veterans Kathy Bersola, Nicole Tiamzon, Marian Buitre are expected to step up to score a repeat of their straight sets demolition of UE to open the season.

The Lady Warriors are listless in 10 games with National University dealing their most recent setback 15-25, 12-25, 11-25 last week.

UE has a total of 55 losses dating back in Season 74.
