Gyzelle Sy is driving the FEU Lady Tamaraws all the way to the Final Four.
For those people who didn't know that Gyzelle Sy was a former UAAP best setter, she had the perfect game to remind everybody that she is still indeed a premier offensive coordinator.
The best back in Season 74 and still one of the best in Season 78, her first season back after a year of hiatus.
Sy recorded 55 excellent set to drive the FEU Lady Tamaraws to the brink of the Final Four with a four-set masterpiece against the upstart Lady Maroons from the University of the Philippines.
Safe to say that she's truly back.
"Sabi ko nga sa kanya hindi pwedeng ikaw yung unang bibigay kas ikaw yung magdadala niyan," head coach Shaq Delos Santos said of Sy. "Medyo bumabalik na siya ulit, hopefully magtuluy-tuloy pa."
For her part, Sy is just thankful for her entire offense particularly with the impeccable receptions of Ria Duremdes and the finishing ability of both Bernadeth Pons and Toni Rose Basas.
It also helps that she's a perfectionist inside the court.
"Yung pressure para sakin kapag sinasabi nila sakin yung mga dapat kong gawin, kapag hindi ko siya nagagawa, dun ako naiinis," Sy said. "Gusto ko dapat perfect yung maging galaw ko."
Sy didn't return to FEU for nothing so perfect is the only way to go as far as she's concerned.
"Bumalik ako para makatulong sa team, sa FEU, and maraming nage-expect sakin so dapat maging maganda yung performance ko," she added.
