Blue Eagles sweep UE for 10th straight win, top seed in F4
Ateneo is number one once again.

For the second straight year, Katipunan emerged as number 1 after the regular season of the UAAP men's volleyball tournament.

Defending champion Ateneo Blue Eagles made quick work of winless University of the East, 26-24, 25-21, 25-15, in the second round of UAAP 78 at the San Juan Arena Wednesday.

With the victory, the champs secure the top seed for the Final Four and will face either UP or FEU in the playoffs.

After a surprisingly close opening set, Ateneo cruised the resy of the way to improve its record to 12-1 behind a 10-game winning streak.

Two-time MVP Marck Espejo led the champs with 15 points.

The Red Warriors, still winless after 13 games found offense from Edward Camposano with 14.

With a sure number 1 ranking for a second straight season, the Blue Eagles turn their attention to Adamson to cap the elimination round.

The Soaring Falcons are the only team to beat Ateneo this season.
