"Malaking bagay yun syempre alam naman namin yung schedule ng mga yan, busy din," head coach Shaq Delos Santos said of the UAAP basketball champion Tamaraws.
Not that they needed anymore reason to win, the FEU Lady Tamaraws had some royal cheerleaders against Adamson University as the UAAP basketball champion Tamaraws paid them a little visit at the San Juan Arena Wednesday.
Coach Nash Racela and company were in full support of their fellow green-and-gold clad competitors.
The 20-time UAAP champions must be some really lucky charms because the Lady Tams wrapped up the Final Four third seed with a tough win over the Lady Falcons.
The Bernadeth Pons-led squad head to the playoffs looking for Morayta's title no. 30 in women's volleyball on a four-game winning streak.
"Malaking bagay yun syempre alam naman namin yung schedule ng mga yan, busy din," head coach Shaq Delos Santos said of the Tamaraws. "Sobrang malaking bagay yun, inspired kami syempre kasi imagine hindi naman ine-expect na makakarating sila ng ganoon lang kadali."
"With the help of the management, talaga sinu-suportahan din kami talaga."
There is certainly no luck in the Lady Tams' late-season surge but they will need all the help they can get as FEU will face either Ateneo or La Salle in the Final Four at a twice-to-beat disadvantage.
The Lady Tamaraws are 0-4 against teams coming from Katipunan and Taft and a combined 9-1 versus the rest of the UAAP.
"Talagang all-out na namin to, kasi wala naman kaming dapat ika-pressure na ide-defend yung title. Ang goal namin, nasabi na naman namin is yung 30th championship pero hindi ganun kadali so-soot kami sa butas ng karayom," Delos Santos said.
