No such thing as no-bearing games for La Salle

WHAT NO BEARING? La Salle is taking its second round game against Ateneo very seriously.
Let's just get this out of the way, La Salle is taking the Ateneo game very seriously despite clinching a twice-to-beat advantage for the Final Four a week ago.
While not much is at stake in terms of the standings, a bigger prize awaits the winner of the second round matchup between the two bitter rivals.
For the Lady Spikers, its a matter of pride and proving that they are the best.
Taft broke the Lady Eagles' 24-game winning streak with a convincing three-set demolition last February.
"Hindi naman kasi pwedeng totally na 'ay lalaruin lang natin' hindi ganun eh," head coach Ramil De Jesus said.
"Alam naman natin na kapag Ateneo-La Salle kahit sabihin natin na wala namang bearing yan kita mo yung mga bata pride kasi eh," he added.
And no, he's not making his players rest even if the gap between their last game and the Ateneo rematch lasted seven days.
Proof is their five-set win over Thai club Est Cola last April 6.
"Pahinga, wala sa bokabularyo yung salitang pahinga. Kahit naman sinong team siguro, tamang recovery lang," De Jesus said.
