Final Four contenders look to improve their postseason positioning in the UAAP Men’s Football tournament as University of Santo Tomas takes on Adamson University and De La Salle University meets University of the East.

Following their second straight loss of the season, the UST Growling Tigers set their sights on bouncing back, and standing in front of them are the hapless Adamson Falcons, who have only notched one win this season.

UST once lorded over the standings, remaining as the last unbeaten team in the tournament before dropping back-to-back losses that saw their positioning take a big hit. Currently outside of the Final Four picture, the UST Tigers have a chance to insert themselves back into the running with a win against the Adamson Falcons.

In their first round meeting, UST bested Adamson, two goals to one.

After snapping their two-game skid by stunning the NU Bulldogs in injury time, the DLSU Green Archers seem to have gained their confidence and their momentum back. They look to put that to the test against a struggling UE team, yet to earn a win in the season.

A terrible start to the second round saw DLSU cling to the fourth spot for their dear lives, but their comeback win over NU, coupled by Ateneo’s loss last Thursday helped push the Taft-based booters up into third place as they try to catch up with league-leaders FEU and UP.

A win over UE, and they put themselves in a more comfortable position in the standings.

In their first round meeting, DLSU beat UE, 1-0.

In the women’s division, third-place FEU looks to close in on second place as they take on bottom-dwelling UST.

The defending champion Lady Tams managed to hold UP to a 2-2 draw in their last outing, while UST has had quite the lengthy break. Their last match was back in March 19, a 3-1 loss over UP.
