La Salle eliminates NU and hands UP a free ride to the Final Four.

La Salle handed the UP Lady Maroons a Final Four berth after the Lady Spikers eliminated National University in the UAAP Season 78 women's volleyball tournament after a 25-14, 21-25, 25-19, 25-15, win at the San Juan Arena Sunday.
The Lady Bulldogs were hoping for a win that would have forced a playoff for the fourth spot but with the La salle victory, UP (8-6) gets a free pass to the postseason.
NU is eliminated with a 7-7 record.
A game after her service error ended a five-set loss to rival Ateneo, Mika Reyes fired three aces late in the fourth set, including the game-winner, to push the Lady Spikers to their Final Four matchup against FEU full of confidence.
La Salle finished the regular season with an 11-3 record and hold twice-to-beat advantage against the Lady Tamaraws.
"Yung goal namin talaga bawian yung NU kasi mas nahirapan kami nung first round," head coach Ramil De Jesus said.
"Goodluck sa kanila, ito ginawa namin magagawa namin," he added with a laugh after being asked about the Lady Maroons.
Kim Dy played the finest game by a La salle player this season and finished with 25 points built around 15 attacks, five blocks and five aces.
Majoy Baron added 13 while Reyes scored 10.
Jaja Santiago scored 14 to lead the Lady Bulldogs who missed the playoffs for the first time since the Santiago sisters played for National U.
