Ateneo is looking to make a third straight trip to the UAAP Finals.

We have been talking about it all seaon and now, we finally get it.

Battle of Katipunan with actual stakes.

Defending champion Ateneo de Manila University is up first as it takes on fourth-seeded University of the Philippines in the first Final Four matchup of the UAAP Season 78 men's volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena Saturday.

Led byt two-time MVP Marck Espejo, the no. 1 Blue Eagles steamrolled through the competition and finished the regular season with a 13-1 record and an 11-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, making their first playoff appearance since 2011, the Maroons literally had to fight through until the last day of the elimination round to make it to the postseason.

UP beat Adamson in four sets last Wednesday to earn a record of 8-6 and make sure they live to play game no. 15 against the champs.

Gametime is at 2 p.m. live on ABS-CBN Sports+Action channel 23, ABS-CBN Sports+Action channel 166 and on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap for livestream.

The Blue Eagles took both games in the elimination round and will look to return to the finals for a third straight year. Ateneo holds twice-to-beat advantage.
