There is only one room for a green team in the UAAP Season 78 finals.
Far Eastern University is out to make sure a different green team gets to play in the finals of the UAAP Season 78 women's volleyball tournament.
The red-hot Lady Tamaraws, winners of four straight games to secure the third seed in this year's Final Four, begin their quest for title no. 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday.
Standing in their way is no. 2 seed De La Salle University, a fixture in the Finals for the last seven years and hopes to make it to eight in order to finally hang championship banner number 9 back in Taft.
After their struggles earlier in the season, the Lady Tamaraws steamrolled throught the rest of the second round and are heading to the Final Four full of confidence in their game.
Bernadeth Pons has been absolutely sensational for FEU and Gyzelle Sy is ready to prove that her return to Morayta was worth it.
Toni Rose Basas, team captain Remy Palma and defensive juggernaut Ria Duremdes make the Lady Tamaraws a dangerous opponent despite having a twice-to-beat disadvantage.
In the other corner is La Salle, who has won six of its last seven games heading into another playoff appearance.
Armed with the league's deepest offensive arsenal, any of the Lady Spikers could go off and put La Salle back in the finals.
Ara Galang is playing her best volleyball since ACL injury while Mika Reyes and Majoy Baron form the most fearsome middle combo in the UAAP.
And then there are Kim Dy and Cyd Demecillo who have shown brilliance in the second round.
Of course, no one should forget about Kim Fajardo who has been hands down the best La Salle player in Season 78.
Game time is at 4 p.m. live on ABS-CBN Sports + Action channel 23, ABS-CBN Sports+Action HD channel 166 and sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap for livestreaming.
