Playoff lives on the line in final day of eliminations
Defending champions FEU will be fighting for their playoff lives against UP

Matches on Thursday, April 21 (Moro Lorenzo Field)

2:00 PM – UP vs. FEU (Men’s)

4:00 PM – UST vs. DLSU (Men’s)

6:00 PM – Adamson vs. UE (Men’s)

Final Four berths are on the line in the last match day of the UAAP Season 78 Men’s Football elimination round when University of the Philippines meets Far Eastern University and University of Santo Tomas takes on De La Salle University, Thursday afternoon at the Moro Lorenzo Football Stadium in Ateneo de Manila University.

Currently at fifth place and outside of the postseason picture, defending champions FEU will need to get a win and three points to ensure a spot in the semifinals. The Tamaraws cannot afford a loss, while a draw could require them to compete in a playoff.

Already assured of a playoff spot, the UP Maroons are now playing for seeding, as a win over the defending champs will mean a top-seed finish.

In their first round meeting which opened the UAAP Men’s Football tournament, FEU and UST battled to a scoreless draw.

Also playing for their Final Four lives, the UST Growling Tigers could lock up as high as the top seed with a win, while a loss could send them to a playoff for the last Final Four spot.

The DLSU Green Archers are also playing without the risk of being booted out, a win for the Taft-based squad could put them as high as the top-seed.

In a non-televised match, the Adamson Falcons and the University of the East Red Warriors look to end their season on a high note. Both teams have struggled for most of the season, but the Falcons find themselves in a better spot than last year after beating UE in the first round and earning their first win since returning to the UAAP Football tournament.
