Perhaps the most difficult thing for a star player is to watch your team get decimated on the court and can't do anything about it.

That is exactly what Ara Galang went through in Season 77 after going down with a nasty ACL injury and witnessed her De La Salle Lady Spikers get swept in the finals by the Ateneo Lady Eagles, failing to grab even a single set.

But a year later in Season 78, Galang used all of that to fuel herself and her team to win the UAAP championship at the expense of their rivals.

"Ginawa ko siyang motivation para umangat ako," Galang said talking about her injury.

Some questions were raised leading up to game 3 after Galang got herself hurt once again in game 2.

And while it was only something minor, Galang was visibly struggling in the first set right when Ateneo put all of its eggs in one basket, trying to take down the Lady Spikers behind Alyssa Valdez.

After a painful experience in Season 77, Ara Galang found her redemption in Season 78, winning a championship and proving that there is life even after a devastating injury.
