Twitter can't believe FEU-UP's very very low-scoring quarter
UP's 5-4 lead over FEU after the first quarter was not a typo.

Before UP and FEU even stepped on the floor Sunday, no one expected their face-off to be high-scoring, as both teams bank mostly on their defense to win their games.

But no one expected the score to be THIS low, especially after the opening quarter.

After one, the Fighting Maroons held a threadbare 5-4 lead over FEU.

Moralde was the lone scorer for the Fighting Maroons in the quarter while FEU only connected two shots in the quarter, care of Brandrey Bienes and Monbert Arong.

Whether it was tight defense or sour offense, no one would ever know.

Both teams combined for nine points in the opening quarter, the lowest output since 2003. And the internet did not hold back in expressing their disbelief.

The low-scoring affair lasted until the end of the first half, where FEU had a 20-15 advantage heading into halftime.

It's all good though, the teams were able to pick it up offensively in the second half to finish the game at a respectable 51-49 in favor of FEU.
