Sans Ayo and Teng, DLSU goes to war with archrival Ateneo
CAN YOU HANDLE THIS? Ben Mbala will have to do even more heavy lifting if DLSU is to overcome the absence of head coach Aldin Ayo and team captain Jeron Teng.

Games on Sunday at the Mall of Arena Arena

12:00 PM – UE vs Adamson

4:00 PM – DLSU vs Ateneo

Ateneo de Manila University remains as the last roadblock for a potential first round sweep for De La Salle University in the UAAP 79 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The challenge becomes extra tougher for the Green Archers against their archrivals as they will be without head coach Aldin Ayo and team captain Jeron Teng. Ayo was suspended after being thrown out of the game against the University of the East last Wednesday while Teng will be out for a week due to bone spurs in his left foot.

Without their leaders, DLSU stakes their spotless slate against their archrival Blue Eagles on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The first iteration in the season of the country’s most heated rivalry commences at 4:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 and ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap.

The Archers have won their first six assignments while the Eagles have prevailed in back-to-back outings and are currently tied for second place at 4 - 2 with NU and FEU.
