As head coach or not, looks like Nash Racela will remain in FEU for the foreseeable future.

Regardless of where Nash Racela ends up coaching in the next couple of months, the Season 78 champion mentor with the Tamaraws will likely remain in FEU for Season 80.

With news of Racela on his way to the PBA as head coach of the TNT KaTropa, FEU athletic director Mark Molina assured that coach Nash will finish the current season handling the Tamaraws in a bid for back-to-back UAAP titles.

He also assured that FEU will try its best to keep Racela if and when his move to the MVP's flagship PBA franchise falls through.

"For the record, if Nash gets the TNT position, we will do evertyhing in our power to still keep Nash Racela in the FEU organization in whatever capacity he can help us," Molina said Saturday.

"Yan sigurado," he added.

The PBA has a rule of prohibting its head coaches from serving in a similar capacity in other leagues, the UAAP included, so Nash going to TNT means that he's going to have to give up the Tamaraws.

No official announcement has come from TNT regarding its head coaching change and Racela has been mum about the news since it broke earlier this week.

Season 79 is Racela's fourth season with the Taramaws, winning one title in two finals apperances.
