Of course, Teng’s gonna miss all these Ateneo-La Salle rivalry games

YOU COMPLETE ME. Jeron Teng, like Kiefer Ravena and Von Pessumal before him, is nearing the end of his time at the center of the country's most heated rivalry.
Jeron Teng’s collegiate career is winding down.
De La Salle University has two assignments to go in the elimination round. And when they complete an eliminations sweep, they will be left with an additional three games, at most.
That means that their former Finals MVP and Rookie of the Year quite possible has less than seven games remaining in donning the green and white.
That has not been lost on Teng himself. Asked about him nearing the end of the road in Taft Avenue, he said, “It’s slowly sinking in and it always reminds me to just give my best in the next games.”
That statement may very well be truer in the Green Archers’ matchup on Saturday. You know, that one against their archrivals.
With the possibility that this rivalry game with Ateneo de Manila University will be his last, the graduating forward expressed, “This is gonna be special dahil iba yung atmosphere talaga kapag La Salle-Ateneo.”
He then continued, “Yun yung isa sa pinakamami-miss ko sa UAAP.”
Still, Teng said he and his teammates are looking farther ahead from this rivalry game – and even the possible eliminations sweep. “I’m really happy (right now), pero we have bigger goals than sweeping (Ateneo) or going 13-0. That is the championship,” he said.
