FEU’s Racela on DLSU: ‘There’s always an end to a streak'
TARGET LOCKED. The defending champions are gunning for an end to their untimely two-game losing skid, according to coach Nash Racela.

Once winners of seven straight, Far Eastern University will instead come into its highly-anticipated rematch with De La Salle University just having dropped back-to-back games.

Easily handled by the Green Archers, 78-83, earlier in the season, the Tamaraws have their work cut out for them if they are to avoid an unwanted three-game slump now in the stretch run.

The good news is, coach Nash Racela is confident that the defending champions can get back at the title favorites. “There’s always an end to a streak. We will look to end that one,” he expressed.

Of course, DLSU’s spotless slate is no more and they now stand at 12-1.

What Racela is referring to, however, is FEU’s two-game skid that has dropped them to 8-4 and into a tie for the second-seed with Ateneo de Manila University.

Now that their greatest fear has come true, the one-time UAAP champion coach said that all he wants from his boys is to go back to the basics. “All along, we kept on reminding the players not to be fooled by our record kasi, all of a sudden, we and even observers thought we were one of the best teams in the UAAP,” he shared.

He then continued, “Pero ang puhunan namin is the way we work and kung umalis kami doon, then it’s gonna be a problem.”
