Tamaraws try again to power through untimely slump
THE END IS NEAR.

Games on Wednesday at the MOA Arena

2:00 PM – UE vs FEU

4:00 PM – Adamson vs Ateneo

Once second-running for a long time in the UAAP 79 Men’s Basketball Tournament, Far Eastern University may find itself settling for the fourth-seed if its downward spiral continues.

Losers of three in a row, the Tamaraws are nonetheless determined to take care of business against University of the East on Wednesday at the MOA Arena and still give themselves a chance at a return onto the top two.

The defending champions go all out to stay alive for the second-seed starting at 2:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 and ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 as well as streamed LIVE.

Following a seven-game winning streak that thrust it onto the top two, FEU is mired in a three-game slump that has dragged down its record to 8-5.

Still, an Adamson University winning by at least 31 against Ateneo de Manila University coupled by a win of their own will put the Tamaraws in a playoff for the second-seed.

Planning to play spoilers are the Red Warriors who, already coming off a much-wanted win against University of the Philippines, still want nothing more than to end their campaign streaking.

Back in the first round, the defending champions handled UE, 67-59.
