UST captured five consecutive UAAP Cheerdance crowns during the 2000s.
2003 was a close call in the Cheerdance competition, as the big 3 of UST, UP, and FEU were separated by a mere 1.5 points.
In the end however, Salinggawi made it back-to-back and lit the fire in the most epic UAAP rivalry that should give Ateneo-La Salle basketball a run for their championship money.
UST beat UP three times in a row during this time, debuting the now immortal "Helicopter" stunt in 2004 that changed the game forever. Salinggawi's best win against Diliman came a year later as the black and gold beat maroon in an ultra tight decision.
Whatever doubts in 2005 were erased in 2006 as Salinggawi completed the year of UST, winning the CDC thanks to a record 94.96 points to cap an unprecedented five-peat. 2006 also marks the year that the Tigers won a title in men's and women's basketball as well as the cheerdance competition.
