FEU, Ateneo clash one last time with Finals up for grabs

Game on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum

4:00 PM – FEU vs Ateneo

To end, or to extend, that is the question for Ateneo de Manila University and Far Eastern University in their greatest battle yet in the UAAP 79 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

A place in the Finals opposite De La Salle University is at stake when the Blue Eagles and the Tamaraws leave their all on the Araneta Coliseum floor on Wednesday.

The bell rings on the knockout bout at 4:00 PM and all of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 and ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 as well as streamed LIVE on sports.abs-cbn.com/livestream/uaap.

The defending champions extended their reign just a little longer after a rumbling rally led them to a 62-61 triumph over Ateneo. In doing so, the former discarded the latter’s twice-to-beat advantage and forced a do-or-die matchup between the two teams.

With their confidence-boosting come-from-behind win, Raymar Jose, Monbert Arong, Ron Dennison, and even head coach Nash Racela remain nothing but determined that this will not be their last game in green and gold.

Just as determined to show them the exit, however, are the Blue Eagles. Head coach Tab Baldwin and Thirdy Ravena are adamant that they will only bounce back all the way to setting up a so-called Dream Finals with their archrivals.
