DLSU's Teng: ‘Gusto ko na talaga na last game ko na’

FAREWELL TOUR. Jeron Teng wants nothing more than for Wednesday to be his last time donned in green and white.
Jeron Teng’s five years in De La Salle University have been fruitful ones.
Already with one championship, one Finals MVP, one Rookie of the Year, and four Mythical selections, the 22-year-old and the Green Archers are one win away from their second title in the last four years.
Unlike most graduating players, Teng does not want to have an additional game wearing the colors of his school.
Of course, that’s because an additional game means DLSU and its team captain will have to meet their archrivals in a do-or-die Game 3. “Gusto ko na talaga na last game ko na. Ayoko na magka-two games,” he expressed.
He then continued, acknowledging the oddity of his situation, “Medyo funny kasi ironic na gusto ko nang matapos (collegiate career ko), pero we just wanna end it on Wednesday.”
To send him off in the best way possible, the Archers’ leader urged his teammates that they would have to play better than they did in their two-point win last Saturday. “I told my teammates that we have to play better. (Last) game kasi, parang kinabahan kami,” he said.
He then continued, “So dapat next game, we play better para hindi na kabahan yung mga nanonood sa amin.”
