Ateneo assistant coach apologizes for inappropriate gesture
"The gesture was made in an emotional moment at the height of a heated exchange."

There have been lots of can't-miss storylines ahead of Game 2 of the UAAP Season 79 Finals, none more controversial than the heated exchange of words and inappropriate gestures between former Batangas vice governor Mark Leviste and Ateneo assistant coach Gabby Severino.

Both parties were seen to have added fuel to the already volatile fire, proven by the evidence captured by onlookers in Game 1.

But with their backs against the wall and facing a runner-up finish, it looks like the blue side is ready to focus on the game.

Ahead of Game 2, Severino owned up to his actions and has posted an apology on Facebook, citing the emotional weight of the matchup as the main cause of his public outburst.

Game 2 of the UAAP Men's basktball Finals tips off today, December 7, 3:30 PM at the Big Dome.
