END OR EXTEND? DLSU does not want another game. Of course, Ateneo wants to meet their archrivals again on Saturday.

Game on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum

3:30 PM – Ateneo vs DLSU

One win.

That’s all De La Salle University needs to end up as the king of the hill in the UAAP 79 Men’s Basketball Tournament.

However, that’s also all Ateneo de Manila University needs to ensure the rivalry series goes the distance.

The Philippines’ fiercest rivals clash once more as the Green Archers battle the Blue Eagles on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Game 2 of the best-of-three Finals tips-off at 3:30 PM and all of the action will be LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 and ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 as well as on LIVESTEAMING.

Following a 67-65 decision in Game 1 last Saturday, DLSU is one step away from reaching the promised land for the ninth time in school history. And they don’t want any delays as team captain Jeron Teng said, “We just wanna end it on Wednesday.”

Just as determined, however, is archrival Ateneo who may have dropped Game 1, but still draw confidence from being the first and only team to have downed the Archers in the tournament. “I don’t want to lose. I’m not ready to go to training camp once again,” Thirdy Ravena said.

If the Eagles are successful in forcing a decider, Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at the MOA Arena.

Before Game 2, the league will recognize its best individual players.

Cameroonian Archer Ben Mbala is all set to hoist the MVP trophy in the awarding ceremony that starts at 2:30 PM. All of it will still be on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 and S+A HD Channel 166 as well as on LIVESTREAMING.
