SPREADING HIS WINGS. Isaac Go caps off his emergence with the most cash winnings among all individual awardees.

Ben Mbala was recognized as the best player in the UAAP 79 Men’s Basketball Tournament on Wednesday.

He won’t be leaving the Araneta Coliseum as the richest, however.

Ateneo de Manila University’s Isaac Go pocketed a total of PhP 150,000 in cash winnings – PhP 25,000 more than Season MVP Mbala.

A bulk of the Blue Eagles’ prize was courtesy of the Appeton Most Improved Player of the Season which accounted for PhP 100,000.

In comparison, the Cameroonian Green Archer earned cash winnings from being the PS Bankable Player of the Season and DLSU’s Kopiko Recharged Player. As Huawei MVP of the Season, he got a Huawei P9 Plus phone.

Other awardees are Aljun Melecio (DLSU) who won PhP 20,000 and the same phone as Mbala as well as Jerrick Ahanmisi (Adamson University), Anton Asistio (Ateneo), Prince Orizu (Far Eastern University), J-Jay Alejandro (National University), Bonbon Batiller (University of the East), Dave Moralde (University of the Philippines), and Louie Vigil (University of Sto. Tomas) who got PhP 25,000 each for being the Kopiko Recharged Player of their teams.
