DLSU, UST look for first win; UP seeks a tie of the lead

De La Salle hunts for its first win after an opening day setback.
De La Salle University and University of Sto. Tomas battle to get in the in column and bounce back from their opening day setbacks in the 79th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.
Opening serve of the match is set at 10:00 a.m. and will air live over ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN HD Channel 166 and via livestream.
The Green Spikers are coming off a 16-25, 19-25, 24-26, loss to open its campaign last Sunday against the Far Eastern University spoiling debut of new head coach Nes Pamilar.
The Tigers dropped a straight sets match, 23-25, 14-25, 18-25, in its season opener at the hands of the three-peat seeking Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles.
DLSU and UST are tied with University of the East with 0-1 cards while the idle Adamson Falcons is down with 0-2 card are the remaining winless teams this season.
Meanwhile, the Red Warriors face off with University of the Philippines, which is looking to join the Blue Eagles (2-0) on top of the heap.
The Fighting Maroons outlasted the Falcons, 24-26, 25-20, 31-33, 27-25, 15-10, Sunday behind the efforts of Wendel Miguel and Alfred Valbuena.
UE, on the other hand, seeks to end a 29-game losing streak.
The Red Warriors suffered a 25-23, 25-10, 25-19, whipping at the hands of National University last week.
