Lady Bulldogs face limping Lady Falcons
All eyes are set on the duo of Jaja Santiago and Jasmine Nabor when National University targets its third win in a row.

Red-hot National University targets its third straight win and the solo lead when the Lady Bulldogs square off with the listless Adamson Lady Falcons Sunday in the 79th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at The Arena in San Juan.

Opening serve is at 2:00 p.m. airing live over ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

NU currently shares the top spot with University of the Philippines and defending champion De La Salle University with 2-0 win-loss cards.

The Lady Bulldogs are coming off a huge victory last Wednesday, shooting down the Ateneo de Manila Lady Eagles, 25-17, 25-13, 19-25, 29-27, that ended NU’s six-game UAAP losing streak against the Katipunan-based squad.

Six-foot-5 Jaja Santiago towered against the Lady Eagles, scoring 26 points including 19 off attacks with six kill blocks for the Lady Bulldogs.

NU has the height advantage and experience compared to the rebuilding Lady Falcons, who are struggling to find its form with a very young lineup.

Adamson is winless in two games with Far Eastern University handing the Lady Falcons a 12-25, 19-25, 16-25, beating last Wednesday.

Fourth year hitter Jema Galanza is having trouble getting her game going after averaging only seven points for the Airess Padda-mentored squad.

Bernadette Flora and Joy Dacoron need to step up to help Galanza lead Adamson into the win column.

The Lady Falcons share the cellar with University of Sto. Tomas and University of the East.
