Twice-to-beat NU, FEU out to oust DLSZ, Ateneo

The Final Four in the UAAP 79 Juniors Basketball Tournament is underway at long last.
The good news is, the matchups are both, without a doubt, worth the wait.
Defending champion Nazareth School of National University once again wages war against runner-up De La Salle Zobel even as Far Eastern University-Diliman and Ateneo de Manila High School stage another showdown all on Tuesday at the San Juan Arena.
The Bullpups and the Baby Tamaraws – the one- and two-seeds, respectively – both own a twice-to-beat advantage. Ergo, they are one win away from an entry into the championship round.
Their trek to the Finals may be tougher, but the Baby Eaglets and the Junior Archers remain as determined as ever to die another day.
That much is even truer for Ateneo which has gone toe-to-toe with FEU-Diliman in all of their prior three games. The balance of the latter may have won out just last Friday, but the former still has MVP favorite SJ Belangel leading the way.
The other playoff matchup has been dominated by NU thus far. Nonetheless, it was DLSZ a year ago that spoiled what should have been a season sweep for John Lloyd Clemente and company.
It’s the Bullpups versus the Junior Archers at 3:00 PM following the 1:00 PM game between the Baby Tamaraws and the Blue Eaglets
