SETTLING THE SCORE. Unfortunately for us fans, what turned out to be a best-of-five series between FEU-Diliman and Ateneo had to end sometime.

Far Eastern University-Diliman won in the first round of the UAAP 79 Juniors Basketball Tournament. Ateneo de Manila High School won in the second round.

FEU-Diliman won the playoff for the second-seed and the twice-to-beat advantage. Ateneo won its do-or-die game.

The Baby Tamaraws and the Blue Eaglets are as evenly-matched as they come, but only one will be able to advance into the championship round.

The Baby Tams and the Eaglets fight over that right – one last time, once and for all – on Friday at the San Juan Arena.

The deciding game of what has turned out to be the season’s most competitive pairing tips off at 3:00 PM.

The victor between the two will move on to face defending champion Nazareth School of National University in the best-of-three Finals.

FEU-Diliman owns a win while Ateneo has been winless thus far against the Bullpups this season.
