FEU-Diliman determined to dethrone NU

NO CHANCE. FEU-Diliman can complete the biggest surprise of the season with one more win against defending champion NU.
While no one expected them to win it all in the UAAP 79 Juniors Basketball Tournament, Far Eastern University-Diliman have always believed they had what it takes.
Without any Mythical Team member and without any big name star, the Baby Tamaraws are one win away from proving everybody wrong.
FEU-Diliman is out for a clean sweep and out to put an end to the reign of Nazareth School of National University on Friday at the San Juan Arena.
On the other hand, the defending champion Bullpups will fight for dear life in the all-out war that re-ignites at 2:00 PM. All of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE.
The Baby Tamaraws got a leg up in the best-of-three championship round after edging out their opponents, 66-65. L-Jay Gonzales and company want nothing more than an encore that will eventually end up in their first championship since 2013.
Of course, nothing will come easy against a proud NU team which has won it all in three of the last five years. John Lloyd Clemente and the rest are sure to come out with guns blazing.
Before Game 2, the season’s top individual players will be recognized.
Winning MVP is University of the Philippines Integrated School’s Juan Gomez de Liano and flanking him in the Mythical Team are Ateneo de Manila High School’s SJ Belangel and Dave Ildefonso, University of Sto. Tomas’ Inand Fornillos and NU’s Clemente.
Notably, FEU-Diliman, the team that is one win away from the title, has no representative in the Mythical Team.
