DLSU, UST battle for share of women's football lead
The DLSU Lady Archers look to keep their momentum going against UST

Saturday's Matches (Rizal Memorial Football Stadium)

3:00 PM - UP vs. FEU (Women's)
5:00 PM - DLSU vs. UST (Women's)

Coming off opening day wins, De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas go head to head Saturday afternoon at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium to grab a share of the lead in UAAP Women's Football.

Season 78 finalists DLSU kicked their Season 79 campaign off by getting a measure of revenge against University of the Philippines, scoring a 2-1 win over the defending champions.

Kyrhen Dimaandal and Kyla Inquig - the previous match's goal scorers - will look to keep their momentum going for a second straight win.

Speaking of momentum, the UST Lady Tigresses will head into this matchup with tons of momentum as well, after downing former three-peat champions Far Eastern University back in opening day.

Charisa Lemoran and Hazel Lustan provided the scoring for UST, and they hope to be able to do the same against De La Salle.

The winner of DLSU and UST's 5:00 PM clash will join Ateneo de Manila atop the women's standings with two wins and six points.

In the 3:00 PM matchup, the last two women's football champions collide, as reigning queens UP take try to arrest their slide when they take on FEU.

After an emotionally charged championship run in Season 78, the Lady Maroons have struggled in Season 79, dropping their first two contests against Ateneo and DLSU.

Also looking to bounce back will be the Lady Tams, who have been off their rhythm since last season.
