The pressures of being a normal college student in the Philippines is hard, but for a lot of the student-athletes we cover in the UAAP, the stress of juggling every facet of their life must take its toll.
But that's the life they have and for University of the East captain Shaya Adorador, to stay true to yourself means to keep fighting, even if no one believes in you.
In the short clip below, Shaya reveals the anxiety brought upon her team's lackluster performance in the UAAP women's volleyball tournament.
But she'll also share how she continuously finds strength with the help of her family, to help her keep going.
In the end, her experience with doubters has made her appreciate the ups and downs of life, "iba yung impact sayo na may negative side, hindi lang puro positive, parang dun ka kukuha ng lakas mo, sa mga negative na naririnig mo."
