FEU stakes perfect record against defending champions UP
FEU will try to go for their fifth straight win when they take on defending champions UP

MATCHES on THURSDAY (Moro Lorenzo Football Field)

9:00 AM - Adamson vs. UE (Men's)

2:00 PM - NU vs. DLSU (Men's TV Game)

4:00 PM - FEU vs. UP (Men's TV Game)

The surging Far Eastern University Tamaraws put their perfect record on the line when they take on defending men's football champions University of the Philippines, Thursday afternoon at the Moro Lorenzo Football Field in Ateneo de Manila.

Winning all of their first four matches, the former back-to-back champion Tamaraws looks like they've found their groove even under the tutelage of new head coach Vince Santos and assistant coach Bo Bae Park, a far cry from their inconsistent run a year prior. With the emergence of sophomore stars in Val Jurao and Rico Andes, the new-look Tamaraws are primed to make a return to the Final Four, a trip that they missed for the first time in years last season.

Standing in front of the red-hot Tamaraws are the defending kings of UAAP football, the UP Maroons, who are looking to bounce back after getting their first taste of defeat at the hands of league-leading Ateneo de Manila. After getting held to a draw on opening day, the Maroons put together a string of dominant wins over the likes of NU, UE, and UST before getting sent back in the battle of Katipunan. The defense-minded Maroons look to get back on the win column, and they'll try to do it at the expense of their Diliman rivals.

In the earlier match of the afternoon, National University tries to keep their momentum going when they take on De La Salle University.

After struggling in their first four matches, the Bulldogs finally scored their first win in the post-Paolo Salenga era after getting past Adamson last weekend. With a bit of momentum on their side, they'll try to capitalize on a struggling DLSU team who's only won once so far this season.

Had it not been for some late-game heroics from Jose Montelibano, the Green Archers could have very well been on a four game losing streak. After holding the defending champions to an opening day draw and then dismantling UE in their next contest, the Taft side went through some tough times, suffering losses against Ateneo, Adamson, and FEU, before managing an exciting 2-2 draw against UST last weekend.
