NEXT. Jaydee Tungcab is no longer with the school he made his name with from high school to college.
A prized prospect out of its high school program and then the face of Adamson University in his rookie year, Jaydee Tungcab will no longer don the blue and white.
According to head coach Franz Pumaren, the versatile swingman will no longer be a Soaring Falcon.
Asked to confirm reports that Tungcab is indeed no longer with Adamson, the multi-tiled mentor answered in the affirmative to ABS-CBN Sports.
The development was first reported by Akari Sports.
In same report, Pumaren shared that Tungcab has been missing his classes and as such, will have a tough time getting passing grades. “I don’t think he will pass this semester. He won’t be eligible (for next season) anyway so what’s the use of him training,” he said.
The now 19-year-old was a Mythical Team member in his last year as a Baby Falcon.
In his first year as a Soaring Falcon in Season 77, Tungcab was one of the main men in a talent-lacking lineup. Come Pumaren’s arrival in Season 78, however, his roller-coaster play got him inconsistent minutes.
The wing player averaged 6.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists through two years with Adamson.
ABS-CBN Sports tried to get in touch with Tungcab, but is yet to receive a response as of press time.
