Far Eastern University is yet to experience a losing streak in the UAAP 79 Men’s Volleyball Season.
Talk about winning streaks, however, and the Tamaraws have now charged through their second one in the season.
Jude Garcia and JP Bugaoan connived to terrorize the nets and FEU made quick work of University of Sto. Tomas in straight sets, 25-19, 25-23, and 25-22 on Saturday at the MOA Arena.
Garcia and Bugaoan had 11 and 10 points, respectively, all while combining for six of their team’s block total of 10.
With the duo defending at the nets, no Tiger wound up in double-digits.
Skipper Richard Solis added nine points, all but one from spikes, to help the Tamaraws improve to 5-2. Losing to second-running National University last week, they have now registered back-to-back wins to remain entrenched at the third spot.
Manuel Medina paced UST with eight points. Without much help, however, they fell to 3-4.
