De La Salle University stops a two-game bleeding at the expense of Far Eastern University.
Cris Dumago led three other De La Salle University players in double figures Sunday as the Green Spikers arrested a two-game slump with a 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 17-15, win in the 79th UAAP men’s volleyball tournament at the Big Dome.
Dumago uncorked 14 attacks in his 16-point performance for the Taft-based squad, which was still missing the services of injured ace Raymark Woo (knee). He added 21 excellent receptions and nine digs.
Arjay Onia and Geraint Bacon scored 14 markers each while Joshua Jose got 10 points for the now 3-6 DLSU.
The Tamaraws, who gave away 38 points off errors, fell to their second straight defeat for a 5-4 card.
Greg Dolor’s 22 points went down the drain for the Morayta-based squad.
Redijohn Paler got 14 markers while Richard Solis and Peter Quiel finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively, for FEU.
