Lady Maroons attempt to end a four-game slide
University of the Philippines tries to snap a four-game slide in battle with University of the East.

Skidding University of the Philippines hopes to stop its bleeding when the Lady Maroons clash with the University of the East Lady Warriors Wednesday in the 79th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

After am impressive run to open the season, the Lady Maroons are on a dive losing four straight.

UP wants to end its slump when it takes on UE in the 2:00 p.m. match that will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166 and via livestream.

The Lady Maroons absorbed a quick 15-25, 14-25, 15-25, drubbing at the hands of their Katipunan neighbors Ateneo de Manila last Saturday.

UP has an even record of 4-4.

The Lady Warriors, meanwhile, are eager to get back on the winning track after a 21-25, 15-25, 23-25 loss to University of Sto. Tomas last Saturday at the start of the second round.

UE wants to improve its 1-7 record and add more woes to the squad that dealt them a straight sets defeat in their first meeting.
