MATCHES on SATURDAY, March 18th. (Rizal Memorial Stadium)

7:00 PM - FEU vs. UP (Men's)
It's another must-see matchday in UAAP Season 79 football, as collegiate powerhouses Far Eastern University and University of the Philippines lock horns once again the third game of a Saturday triple-header at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
After missing out on the final four last season, the FEU Tamaraws have burst out the gates in Season 79, going unbeaten in the first round and then kicking off the second round with a 2-1 win over National University last week. The Tamaraws are currently in second place in the standings, and are looking to create separation from third-seed UP.
Defending champions UP are also putting together another impressive season as they try to keep the men's football title in their backyard. Also starting the season strong, the Maroons' only loss came against league-leading Ateneo, who they managed to hold to a draw in their second round meeting. A win over FEU will send the Maroons into second place.
In their first round encounter, the Tamaraws and Maroons fought to a physical scoreless draw.
FEU and UP meet at 7:00 PM.
In the earlier men's football match, National University looks to get back into the win column as they challenge league-leading Ateneo de Manila University.
After a slow start, the NU Bulldogs were able to get their wits together and go on an impressive three-game winning run to end the first half. Unfortunately for the Sampaloc-based squad, they ran into a rampaging FEU squad to start the second round. With a win today, they regain hold of solo fourth place in the men's standings.
Season 79 has been nothing but spectacular for Ateneo, who are looking to get back into the finals for a second straight year. After running through their first six matches though, the Blue Eagles have slowed down a bit, with two consecutive draws in their last two outings against FEU and UP. Still, this isn't reason to take the Katipunan side lightly.
NU and Ateneo clash at 3:00 PM
In the lone women's match of the afternoon, defending champions University of the Philippines try to get their first win of the season when they take on second-seeded University of Santo Tomas.
Coming off a title run, Season 79 has been anything but a dream for the defending queens of UAAP football. Winless in four matches, the only points that the Lady Maroons have gotten are from a draw against also-winless Far Eastern University. With the first round in the books, UP hopes to get back on track in the remaining four games of the season.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Lady Tigresses have been having a banner year, with three wins and a loss in four matches played, good enough to finish the first round in second. Striker Charisa Lemoran has been the main woman for the España-squad this season, pacing the Tigresses with six goals this season.
UP and UST battle at 3:00 PM.
