LOYAL. John Lloyd Clemete will still be wearing NU's blue and gold.
Unlike last year, Nazareth School of National University will get to keep its finest product
King Bullpup John Lloyd Clemente is poised to further showcase his skills in Sampaloc. “NU na ako,” he told ABS-CBN Sports after the 2017 SLAM Rising Stars on Sunday.
Clemente is a one-time champion and two-time Mythical Team member in the UAAP Juniors.
In his last hurrah for NU, the six-foot-three swingman normed 14.8 points on 42.7 percent shooting, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
Clemente, who has looked to be ready for college basketball for well over a year now, will be a big boost to new head coach Jamike Jarin.
The prospect out of Pampanga will be tasked to fill the void at the wings for the Bulldogs. He will bolster a core that already has J-Jay Alejandro and Matt Salem.
Last year, NU’s Juniors program lost its finest product when Justine Baltazar transferred to De La Salle University.
