DLSU hitter Dy suffers minor sprain in win

Kim Kianna Dy of the defending champion De La Salle University went down with a minor left ankle sprain.
De La Salle University hitter Kim Kianna Dy suffered a minor left ankle sprain and was escorted back to the Lady Spikers’ dugout early in the third set of their match against University of Sto. Tomas Wednesday in the 79th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
The fourth year player sprained her ankle when she landed after a block attempt with the defending champions Lady Spikers ahead, 6-4, in the set and up 2-0 in the match.
She was rushed to their locker room and had her foot wrapped with an icepack.

Dy didn't return to the game, which the Lady Spikers went on to win, 25-23, 25-22, 25-21. DLSU improved to 10 - 2 to tie archrival Ateneo de Manila University on top of the standings and earn twice-to-beat advantage.
